My husband was in town for work, so we decided to meet up for dinner and this place had raving reviews. Unfortunately, I can't contribute to the great reviews. I had high expectations when we arrived, it's settled outside the city and its a beautiful quiet location. Upon entering we were never greeted and when we arrived to a desk a lady looked at us and then continued looking at what she was doing, we sat awkwardly for about a minute until another lady rushed us to our seats. Quickly sat and disappeared. We waited for another 10 minutes until our waitress greeted us, or lack thereof. The service was poor at best, the food was bland and overpriced. Service by far the worst I had ever experienced. I try to be understandable, especially once being a server, I know the demands of serving, this wasn't either. This, was not even close to what I would expect from a server. For a family restaurant I guess it would be considered ok, in the higher chain restaurants I would have been fired if I gave no attention to my tables, never once asked us how the food was, not once filled up our drinks. I'm guessing this server was clearly clueless on what her job actually was- it's too bad the restaurant was cute, but we were disappointed and because of it, will not return and not recommend.

I was staying in Fort Morgan for work and decided to visit Elaine's based on the reviews here. The restaurant is a little off the beaten path next to the golf course. The place looks like a big white house, and that's the feeling I got as soon as I walked in. It was like I was having dinner at someone's home. The staff was super welcoming and friendly, and that's before meeting George. George is like the uncle you have that's always the life of the party. He's awesome. You know why else he's awesome? Because he cooks bomb a** lamb chops! Wow those things are good. They literally melt in your mouth. The side potatoes and Greek salad are also delicious. Add in a conversation with George about how many girlfriends he thinks I should have and I had a very successful meal. Seriously, if you are within fifty miles of Elaine's you need to eat here.

We stopped for lunch on the way to Colorado, trying to avoid fast food places. Definitely worth the stop. We had the recommended gyro platter, and gyro sandwiches and they were great. Tzaziki sauces were really full flavored garlic. Good fries on the side. Old style family service.

Authentic Greek food in the middle of nowhere? Now the drive out to this location doesn't suck so much! Thanks!

this place was on of the best finds of our travels, ever. Crazy George was awesome to talk to and really authenticated the experience. The greek coffee was amazing and the gyro was so flavorful with the best tzatziki I have ever had. Worth the 5 min drive off the highway.

What a wonderful restaurant! A quiet setting, homey and cozy but with elegance. The staff was incredible, so friendly and helpful and truly appreciate their customers and are passionate about the food they serve. And the food was amazing. Authentic Greek food - the real thing, folks - with huge portions and perfect flavor. I can't wait to go back. Can't say enough about how great this place was!

FANTASTIC Greek food! At first I thought my tomtom may have finally failed me, but I was wrong! This place is on the outskirts of town, in a residential area on the edge of a gold course. The building itself looks a bit like a plantation home to me, but I'm not from the south so I might be wrong :) The couple who ran the place was charming & very helpful. The food was delicious! The Greek chicken, Kabobs, Gyros, Hummus & authentic Greek salad where all delicious & we ended it with a piece of fresh, home made baklava. The only down side was that I didn't find this place sooner!

The food here was absolutely wonderful. Everything from the hummus appetizer to the baklava dessert was delicious! The restuarant is in an older victorian-style home, right on a golfcourse and the views are beautiful. The place was clean and the waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The only down fall was that they were a little heavy on the room deodorizers (plug in kind) and when you first walk in, it's a bit overwhelming. Huge portions - plenty of leftovers. The authentic Greek salad (no lettuce) was fresh and had real garden tomatoes. The Chef told us he got them someplace in Town. Huge thank you to the ladies who originally recommended this place to us. If I am back in the area, I will make sure to eat here again.

The dolmades was the best I have ever had!! This would be excellent Greek food in Chicago, New York or any other locale known for authentic Greek food, but to find it five minutes from the interstate in Fort Morgan makes it a true gem. Do not miss this opportunity!

This was our first time to try Elaine's Place and it was fantastic! When we walked in George met us at the door. It was like going home to see your favorite Uncle. He walked us to "our" table, talked to us about Greek food and then wanted to know why it took us so long to try the place out. Within minutes he brought us some samples and we loved it. We shared the Greek Salad and it was amazing. (This was the first time in my life I ever fought to finish a salad.) Then we ordered George's Combo and I'd heard they had the best burgers in town, so we tried one of those too. What we'd heard was all true. The Greek food and the burger was awesome. The portions were generous and flavorful. So, after driving 5 minutes off the highway, pulling into the golf course parking lot and then wondering to ourselves if the big white building with the dark windows was really a restaurant. The whole experience was truly great and we left talking about how we couldn't wait to get back and what we'd try off the menu next time. Take it from a local boy. When you're driving on I-76 rolling towards Ft. Morgan, take 5 minutes to drive to Elaine's Place. It's the best food in this town.

This was quite a surprise! We were surprised at the exterior of the restaurant. It was out in the middle of nowhere and the outside was a little run down. Don't let that deter you though. The food was VERY good and the service was excellent.

Took the family back for our wedding anniversary. My wife had the hot roast beef. Daughters had the usual chicken nuggets and corn dogs. Why can't I stop eating gyros??? I really don't care about waiting for our food now. Everything is always prepared when we order. I believe this is the best restaurant in Morgan county by far. I'm even craving a gyro and fries right now. Damn George even brought out gyro meat for my daughter to try, she loved it. And even brought out dessert for our anniversary. Elaine's place rocks!!!!!

We love this place! Their burgers are excellent, the Greek Salad is delicious and I have fallen in love with Dolmades. Their hummus is also quite tasty with the nice pieces of pita bread to accompany it. It's a all too often overlooked spot here in town but it is one of our few go-to places as there just aren't many places in this little town with good, high-quality food. We've even considered having a little wedding reception there just because I really like the atmosphere. Elaine's is a definite must-go to place if you are ever in town!!

Definition of a hidden gem. Gyros were good and the customer service is exceptional. Worth the short five minute drive off the interstate.

The food and service were excellent. Way too much food for one person. Authentic Greek cuisine. Menu was very extensive with food for any taste. The owner/chef came out and talked with us for a few minutes which added to the authenticity. Save room for dessert!

Picture this... You're hot, hungry, on a 3 day road trip and a good meal seems to be hard to come by, at least just minutes from the Interstate. Did I mention we are in the middle of the Colorado front- range plains? I have to thank Yelp reviewers for this choice. Really good selection of Greek standbys, all extremely fresh, reasonably priced, and generous portions. I had a Greek salad with tomatoes that tasted garden ripened, generous portion of Feta, Greek olives, red and yellow pepper slices, cucumber chunks and red onions. Perfect for a road trip 'cause I don't want to feel too full. Husband had a gyros plate which was tasty, fresh, and the perfect size. We walked away satisfied and happy. From our friendly, attentive waitress we got a little history of the building and location of Elaine's Place -- a formal looking, out-of-place 2 story white structure that originally was the clubhouse for the nearby golf course, built in the 20s. One of the joys of getting off interstate 76, was passing by/over the historically registered Marsh Rainbow Arch Bridge, built in 1921, and quite beautiful to see.

Would have been 4-stars, but Crazy George was so personable, generous, intriguing, and well, crazy, that I had to bump it up. The Gyros were huge and tasty, and the tzatziki was unbelievable. I also had the lemon chicken soup which I strongly recommend; essentially homemade chicken and rice with just a hint of lemon. Crazy George dropped off a complimentary plate of Greek olives, and later joined us in the parking lot for a wild conversation about Denver's Greek restaurant scene. I would have never expected such a great experience right in the middle of nowhere.

Great fresh food, lots of garlic. Easy stop off the interstate as a good alternative to chaim resturant or fast food while on a road trip. Friendly people, and supporting local business.
